Risk management and stakeholder engagement at Femern A/S

The cooperation between Femern A/S and DTU focuses on informing and improving internal project risk management processes in preparation for and during the construction phase of major infrastructure schemes. In particular, our work investigates issues related to social acceptance and human interface risks facing the Fehmarn Belt fixed link project as one example of country-spanning megaprojects.

The project involves a thorough review, analysis and contextualization of stakeholder engagement techniques, as well as their local outcomes. The outcomes of collaboration should provide perspectives of current global best practice and contribute to further improvement of megaproject risk management processes in preparation for, during and after construction of major infrastructure projects.
